I thought I would update everyone on the enhancements/improvements that have been made to this site. Let me state that this is one of the better blogging systems out there and I am very happy with it. There are some areas however, that needed some improvement to make it that much better. My developer buddy Fred and I have done just that. Here are a few of the enhancements:

An automatic email notification of new comments is now sent to our subscribers and since the comments text area is limited to 500 characters, a character countdown is included so that the comment poster knows when he/she runs out of space. An Unsubscribe link is also included at the bottom of the notice.
An automatic email notification of new blog posts is now sent to our subscribers with a link to the new blog post as well as an Unsubscribe link at the bottom.
The Categories listed in the sidebar now display the number of articles posted in that category.
The administrator is notified of any message sent through the Contact form so that he/she can react to any needed action.
The newsletter system has been modified so that it is now a true "html newsletter sending" module instead of being only a holder for subscriber email addresses.
The administrator is notified via email when a visitor Subscribes to notices and newsletters.

I expect there will be more enhancements coming but for now, I feel this blog system compares favorably with many of the more bloated blogs out there. Truth be told, some of the other systems are too complex for the everyday blogger. I should know since I have tried many of them. If you like what you see, register to the blog and make yourself heard by posting some articles. Subscription for notices is automatic on registration.

Don't forget the last enhancement we made...the administrator is now notified of any new subscriber to minimize those subscribers that should not be there. I think we did a pretty good job of enhancing this system.

Absolutely my friend; we have done a spectacular job of adding features and enhancing others in this blog system. Thanks to the creator it is very easy to modify and add to.
