Terry08/05/2023You're right Shannon; every day everything reminds me of her. A part of my soul was torn
away and it hurts so bad! When I'm driving I can sense her in the seat next to me and she's
still scolding me about my driving. I sense her in the plants on our patio that I continue to
water; everytime I leave the house I worry still about leaving her alone there. It's going to
take a long time to get past her loss.

will we be 10 years from now? The pace of developement is incredibly fast! But the scariest
thing in my opinion is the secret labs and behind the scenes players who don't give a damn
about the ethical aspect of developing AI. All they care about is money and control!

It's sad how hard people will work to cheat people instead of working hard on a career. I've had to lock down twice because my streaming services were hacked.

on FaceBook. Three times that I remember for sure I had to eliminate a virus that she
picked up on her computer.

Sadly, I have to tell my Mom all of the time, "That isn't REALLY Mark Harmon on Facebook trying to chat with you", and "If the prices are too low, it is most likely a scam, don't buy anything". It is really sad that there are so many people willing to take advantage of people they perceive as "weaker". It seems that in every situation, there are bad people willing to use technology for bad.

This article is a bit more scientific than my brain. However, I do get the Star Trek/Star Wars warp drive/FTL/ZPM connections. I believe these things are possible, it is just a matter of us not destroying everything in the quest for the knowledge on how to do them.

I am afraid it is too late for us. People in power don't listen to the warnings of the dangers of many things they are doing, like, AI. There is also the danger of nuclear bombs being dropped in these never ending wars. I just think we are too "intelligent" for our own good.
